Case Studies
The 9 Highland Schools for Highland Council is the biggest building programme ever to be undertaken by a local authority in the Highlands. velta installed a classic screed system to improve the environmental benefits.
Working closely with M&E Contractor, NG Bailey and the design team, velta developed the metal deck heating system for the construction of 3 primary and 2 high schools.
Barr Construction secured the contract to provide 3 new primary schools, covering 16,500m² for Midlothian Council of which velta cast an in situ heating system.
The new Business School and Student Hub will transform the main MMU campus at All Saints and provide MMU Business School with a home worthy of its international reputation.
An innovative £3.3 million education centre at RHS Garden Harlow Carr is one of the UK’s greenest buildings. The new building has been designed to be carbon neutral and one of the greenest buildings in the country.
The £55m Advanced Learning Centre, which will combine and replace Wombwell High School, and Darfield Foulstone School of Creative Arts, is one of three being developed as part of the third and final phase of the Barnsley Building Schools for the Future programme.
